Small Town Setup brings the beloved storyline of big-city singles finding love in their hometown to life — but with a unique twist. In this series, the matchmaking isn’t left to chance or fate but to the local townsfolk.
Each episode introduces a new small-town family whose adult child has found professional success in the big city but hasn’t yet found “the one.” Concerned parents team up with neighbors to find three potential matches from the community. When the single returns home for a visit, they’re presented with their hometown’s handpicked options.
After going on three dates, the single must decide: will they find love in their hometown or return to the bright lights of the big city? The answer is unveiled in a charming town hall event filled with heartfelt moments, humor, and community spirit.
Expanding the Hallmark Magic
Small Town Setup is Hallmark+’s second foray into blending its iconic film themes with reality TV. This October, the network introduced Finding Mr. Christmas, a reality competition where 10 contestants competed for a lead role in a Hallmark holiday movie. The winner, Ezra Moreland, will make his debut on December 21 in Happy Howlidays alongside Jessica Lowndes.
