‘The Traitors’ Season 3 Trailer Teases New Cast, Alan Cumming’s Bold Fashion, and Plenty of Drama
The wait is almost over for The Traitors fans, as the hit reality competition series gears up for its highly anticipated third season. Peacock has just dropped the first trailer for the new installment, which promises a fresh batch of twists, betrayals, and Alan Cumming’s ever-iconic wardrobe.
Premiering January 9 with a three-episode launch, Season 3 looks to build on the massive success of the show’s previous outings. The Traitors became the breakout sensation of 2024, earning the title of the No. 1 unscripted series across all U.S. streaming platforms during its launch week, per Nielsen. The show also scored two Emmy wins: Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Host for Cumming.
This time around, the stakes are even higher, with a star-studded cast ready to stir the pot. The 21 contestants hail from a mix of popular reality shows and notable backgrounds, including Survivor legends Boston Rob Mariano, Tony Vlachos, Carolyn Wiger, and Jeremy Collins; Big Brother icons Danielle Reyes and Britney Haynes; Real Housewives stars Chanel Ayan, Dolores Catania, Robyn Dixon, and Dorinda Medley; and other intriguing figures like Sam Asghari, Tom Sandoval, and Lord Ivar Mountbatten.
With a mysterious number of traitors hidden among the group, viewers can expect plenty of suspense and chaos. And while some fans are still holding out hope for a return of season 2 MVP Phaedra Parks, the fresh batch of contestants seems more than capable of delivering unforgettable moments.
Host Alan Cumming hinted at exciting new developments for the upcoming season. “Having the freedom to push the boundaries like we’ve been doing has made this show incredibly thrilling,” Cumming shared with Entertainment Weekly earlier this year. “It’s rewarding to see how much viewers have embraced it, and each season we’re able to up the ante even more.”
“This season feels very different, with a whole new set of challenges—not just for the contestants, but for me as well,” he added.
The trailer gives a sneak peek at the high-stakes drama, strategy, and, of course, Cumming’s extravagant outfits that have become a hallmark of the show.
